Terrix® IP-LT-X
ceramic/latex paint
premium matt

Terrix® IP-LT-X is a premium ceramic matt topcoat for interior walls and ceilings. Its dense ceramic matrix provides excellent resistance to scuffing, repeated washing and most commonly used maintenance chemicals. The coating forms a smooth, durable and easy-to-clean finish suitable for both new construction and renovation projects.
It also offers enhanced resistance to mould, mildew and microbial contamination*.
Typical uses:
• Corridors, stair wells, classrooms and office spaces
• Wet rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms and laundries
• Public buildings and other high-traffic interiors
• Refurbishment projects requiring a durable, easy-to-clean finish
• Areas where higher standards of cleanliness are required*.
Substrates
Adheres firmly to concrete, cement-lime or gypsum renders, plasterboard, existing polymer coatings and glass-fibre wallcoverings, so it suits both new construction and renovation work.
Environmental profile
The coating is water borne and formulated with ultra-low VOC content that gives virtually no odour and allows quick re-occupation. This low-emission profile can help projects secure credits for low-emitting materials under LEED v4.1 and BREEAM.
Full laboratory data and compliance certificates are available on request.
Benefits
Main properties:
- Outstanding Protection*: Offers enhanced resistance to microbial contamination, making it suitable for
areas requiring higher standards of cleanliness. - Unrivalled Wash and Scrub Resistance: Significantly exceeds Class 1 standards (EN 13300) – up to five
times better – ensuring the finish remains pristine even under rigorous or frequent cleaning cycles. - Excellent Disinfectant Compatibility: Demonstrates strong resistance to commonly used water-based
disinfectant agents, ensuring reliable long-term performance under frequent maintenance conditions.
The coating is not resistant to organic solvent-based cleaners. - Stain-Repellent and Easy to Clean: The robust surface repels stains, offering effortless maintenance
and a consistently fresh appearance. - Ultra low-VOC, eco-friendly formulation**: With a VOC content of ≤ 1.1 g/L (ISO 11890 2), Terrix IP-LT-X
contains roughly twenty-seven times less VOC than the EU/UK Category A/a limit of 30 g/L and sits only
0.4 g/L above the “VOC free” threshold. These negligible emissions foster healthier indoor air and can help
projects meet LEED v4.1 and BREEAM requirements for low-emitting materials. - Flexible, Crack-Resistant Film: Maintains elasticity to accommodate minor substrate movements,
reducing the risk of unsightly cracking over time. - High Vapour Permeability: Allows substrates to ‘breathe’, helping to prevent moisture build-up
and contributing to a healthier indoor environment. - Versatile Application: Adheres excellently to both mineral substrates and previously painted surfaces,
making it suitable for a wide array of projects and renovation works.

CAUTION: Keep the product out of reach of children.
Aplication
Substrate preparation:
The substrate must be sound (without cracks or fissures), degreased, clean and dry, and free from stains and efflorescence of biological and chemical origin. The substrate must be mechanically cleaned if fungal growth is present and then decontaminated with a fungicide. Discolouration, nicotine stains and efflorescence from water spots should be coated with Terrix® IP-SB stain blocker beforehand. Any loose layers that are not bonded to the substrate (e.g. loose plaster or peeling paint) must be removed. Residues of adhesive or lime paint must be removed thoroughly, and the substrate must be washed with water. Old and/or soiled substrates should be cleaned and degreased with water and a cleaning agent.
If the substrate irregularities are significant, the wall should be initially levelled with Terrix® RN-LF 5 mortar.
To achieve a higher level of smoothness, finish with Terrix® PL-SX or PL-SX-S before painting.
Priming:
Absorbent substrates should be primed with Terrix® PR-UA before using the compound and/or plaster. Skim-coated substrates or non-uniformed should be primed with Terrix® PR-IP. Fresh cement and cement-lime plaster can be painted after a 3-4 week seasoning period, and gypsum plaster after 2 weeks.
Drywall can be painted directly after sanding and dust removal.
Preparation:
The packaging contains a ready-to-use product. Before application, the product should be thoroughly mixed.
Note: Do not dilute or mix with other paints or additives, as doing so may compromise both colour consistency and performance.
Application method:
Apply IP-LT-X in two coats, using a brush or a fleece roller with an 18 mm pile, or by spraying (including the ‘airless’ method). Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying the second one, and provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
Airless spraying:
Manufacturer: GRACO Model: St Max 495 Nozzle: PAA 517
Pressure [bar]: 180. Filter [mesh]: 60 Dilution [%]: n/a
Usage [l/min]: 2.3
Drying:
The drying time of one coat of paint applied to the substrate (at a temperature of +20 °C and relative humidity of 55 %) is approximately 4 hours.
Note: Low temperatures and high air humidity prolong the drying time of the coating.
Ventilate rooms after painting until the specific odour disappears.
The coating achieves its full mechanical and functional properties after 4 weeks.
Useful hints:
For consistent colour, complete each distinct architectural section in a single application cycle, using material from the same production batch.
Maintain an ambient temperature above +5 °C during both application and drying.
Rinse tools with clean water immediately after use.
In areas prone to unfavourable lighting, we recommend using a deeply matt paint such as Terrix® IP-ST-P, Terrix® IP-LT, or Terrix® IP-AC-NR.
Optional Add-Ons:
Microfibre Reinforcement: Incorporating microfibres into IP-LT-X helps bridge and stabilise hairline cracks up to 0.3 mm (e.g. shrinkage cracks in mineral plasters). This addition enhances coverage and overall coating integrity.
*Applies only to the coating of Terrix® IP-LT-X in the hygienic version containing the antimicrobial additive. The standard product does not exhibit antimicrobial or anti-fungal properties.
** VOC value determined for the untinted white base; slight variation is possible after tinting.
